Announcing: The 'Which Way Is North' Podcast

A more human connection -- Listen and subscribe today

Your best is often hiding. Where it hides most is, ironically, behind your job title and your name.

We have heard a lot about safe spaces. What about brave spaces? These are contexts in which you are allowed to explore what you feel before you know what you think without the weight of who you are. These are contexts that are vital to our becoming. These are contexts our culture lacks.

I've learned that one of the best ways to create these contexts is to empower people to be masters of their own identity. Let them decide what of their identity they bring in versus leave at the door. Then we can stretch out more bravely in our shared humanity to talk about what's going on.

My vocation is conversation. When you boil it down, that's what it really I do at base. I talk with people. Tarot readings, creative brainstorming, pitches and partnership proposals, even making music...it's all conversation.

I love conversation because I love humans. I see the best in people - and I believe that because of that, I get the best in people. When you and me converse, we're going to end up creating wonderful things together, even if only just a momentary idea or a laugh.

If you know me, and if we've talked, I promise you that I hold an image of you in my head and my heart that you would probably like...a lot. Even (maybe especially) if we have ever disagreed.

So with that, in defiance of the voices in my head that laugh at me and say, "the world does not need another podcast", I've decided to launch a podcast.

It is called 'Which Way Is North' and it unpacks the wisdom I packed into my book of the same name. Every episode invites the guest to be a master of their identity, deciding how they want to be referred to in the conversation. Then, we walk through the seven questions of Which Way Is North to find our way to the heart of who they truly are - at least in that moment in space and time where we've met.

You can find your preferred podcasting platform to listen to it here: https://whichwayisnorth.podbean.com/

If you like it, please consider following it, rating it, and sharing it.

You can expect to see a lot more content from me sharing snippets from these conversations in the podcast. To be honest, a big part of that is about reframing my relationship with the algorithm of social media spaces. There is something about prioritizing my IRL connections with people and then sharing what comes from that in social media feeds rather than seeking connection from people within social media feeds that feels like a right distancing of my relationship with the state of online culture today. That could change, but that's how I feel right now.

If you are interested in having one of these conversations, please let me know!
